The Outbound Tour Operators Association Of India (OTOAI) has announced that the current Executive Committee Members will step down with immediate effect, and that fresh elections will be held on 16 May 2015 to elect a new Executive Committee.
In a brief mail circulated to the OTOAI members by Mr Guldeep Singh Sahni, the outgoing President, it was stated that OTOAI was announcing elections for the posts of the Executive Committee, and that the present EC members would have their last day in office today – 31st March 2015. They will however, continue to discharge necessary duties till the election of a new Executive Committee for OTOAI. Additionally, the permanent resources of Ms. Punam Singh, Executive Director and Ms. Meenu, Administrative Secretary, would continue be available for all the day to day functioning of the OTOAI office and fulfill their responsibilities on a regular basis.
Mr. Runeep Sangha, Executive Director of PATA, has been appointed as the Election Officer – EO, for OTOAI. Runeep has kindly accepted this responsibility and will start discharging his duties w.e.f Monday, 6th April 2015. The election will take place on Saturday, 16th May 2015. Mr. Runeep Sangha would henceforth be sending out all the OTOAI Elections related correspondence.
